Contact Energy's 'Positive Energy' awareness campaign was launched with a commercial featuring a gregarious native New Zealand Tui, who patiently explains the cost and environmental impact of energy generation while his sweetheart, voluptuous native wood pigeon Beatrice, affectionately interrupts.

Tipping it's hat to Pixar's 'For the Birds', this entertaining spot, which features complex 3D characters set against soft oil-painted background elements, was designed, animated and directed by Raymond McGrath.
