my friend quest
MyFriendQuest is an interactive animated computer game created to teach children to recognise emotions and respond to them appropriately.
Flux created both the MyFriendQuest game application, the animated prologue and epilogue. The concept was to leverage a game style environment, where kids lead themselves on a self taught journey through a seaside town, meeting new friends.
Although initially created specifically for children with Asperger's Disorder, a form of autism, creators of the concept BrightMind Labs say MyFriendQuest has also achieved great results in testing with children with ADD, ADHD, dyspraxia, learning difficulties, social anxiety and severe shyness.
For their work, BrightMind Labs won the Best Social Impact Assessment Award at the world finals of the Global Social Venture Competition at Berkeley University, San Francisco.
