This spot for the NHL in the US shows dynamic Russian-born hockey star Alex "The Russian Machine" Ovechkin scoring on the ice for his team the Washington Capitals during a league game. In January 2008, Ovechkin signed a thirteen-year contract extension worth US$124 million with the Capitals, the most lucrative contract in NHL history. Flux 2D animator and director Shane Taylor has Alex transform into marvel-esq super hero form as he skates past the camera and smashes into the glass rink barrier.
