Staines Down Drains series 1 tells of the adventures of 11-year-old twins, John Stanley and Mary-Jane Staines, who venture down the plughole into the amazing world of drains. A quirky and fun 2D animated series, the show explores what happens when two kids learn to meet bold challenges in their daily lives with the help of some funny friends down the drains.

While exploring the gurgling drains, John Stanley and Mary-Jane quickly discover Drainland society is under threat from the ominous, self-appointed Director of Drains. With their new Drainland friends in tow, the Staines kids undertake the challenge of saving not only the drains, but also their home town Lupin Lane, from the somewhat evil Dr Drain and his army of green Gobblers.

Conceived and originated in Auckland's Flux Animation studios by Brent Chambers and Jim Mora, Staines Down Drains is fast gaining fans all around the world for its inventiveness, originality, and its sheer sense of fun. 

This is an adventurous television series of 26 half hour animated shows, targeted towards 8-12 year olds.  The series is an international co-production between Flux and Flying Bark and Studio 100.
